Missionary House

Sponsored by Arizona Baptist Children’s Services in partnership with churches and associations within the Arizona Southern Baptist Convention.

In June of 2008 the Arizona Baptist Children’s Services joined with several other churches to form a partnership to operate a missionary house. The story behind this answered prayer and fulfilled dream was published in Portraits in the summer/fall of 2008. First Southern, Phoenix, agreed to take the role of leadership in this partnership. Dr. Paul Kinnison of FBC, SCW was elected chairman of the partnership. The ABCS Missionary House is located near Camelback Road and Loop 101 near the Peoria Sports Complex. Its purpose is to provide housing to SBC missionaries coming to Arizona on stateside assignment or for medical treatment. The desire of the partnership is to provide this home at no cost to the missionary family. This house is fully furnished as well. A missionary family from South America has been in residence over this last year.

The partnership wants to get the word out to missionaries and to potential partners. There is still need of financial partners, especially as we desire to provide the home at no charge to missionaries. There is also a need for volunteer plumbers, electricians, air conditioning services, and other handyman type people for maintaining the home. All interested churches or individuals may contact Pastor Kinnison by e-mail at pkinnison@fbcscw.org, or by phone at 623-584-5738.
