Don Greenwalt provides Christ-centered counseling to children, teenagers and adults. He specializes in ministering to hurting children through play therapy, but excels in ministering to couples and families struggling with a wide range of issues and concerns. He received his Bachelors degrees in Psychology and Religion from Grand Canyon College and continued his education at Northern Arizona University and Grand Canyon College. He served as a Southern Baptist bi-vocational pastor and was employed by Arizona’s Child Protective Services. Don ministers with New Life Counseling in the Yuma and Phoenix offices.

Raquel provides Christ-centered spiritual support and direction to Spanish-speaking adolescents, adults and couples. She received extensive Christian education, including a Master’s degree in religion, and taught for seven years at a Texas seminary. In addition to counseling, Raquel served as a Christian radio missionary with World Radio Network. She rejoices in helping Hispanic people experience the Lord’s peace and joy through the counseling relationship. Raquel serves with New Life Counseling in Yuma.

Julia Pierce received her Masters of Arts in Counseling from Northern Arizona University in 2010. She is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors, and is a Member of Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society International. Julia’s clinical experience includes performing individual, family and child therapy. She has assisted in providing group therapy for anxiety, depression, substance abuse and domestic violence. In addition, Julia’s work as an Instructional Assistant with Wellton Elementary School, allowed experience in serving children who have various cognitive disabilities ranging from learning disabilities, autism and moderate-severe mental retardation. Julia has been married over 6 years has a wonderful baby girl.

Church Counseling Program
The Church Counseling Program is a partnership between New Life Counseling and local churches. Counseling is offered at a reduced rate with a portion of the fee being subsidized by the church.
