Sign up for Mother’s Day Offering 2012

Arizona Baptist Children’s Services (ABCS) ministers to hurting children and families in a variety of ways. Through the work of ABCS in 2011, 37 children were adopted out of foster care into a strong Christian family, 65 abortion-minded women chose life for their babies through pregnancy counseling, and we had 9,414 distributions of baby-related goods such as diapers and clothing. However, we are most excited about using our ministries to lead people to Jesus. Praise God that through our ministries last year, 43 people gave their life to Jesus Christ.

Since 1948, the work that would later become ABCS has only been possible through the partnership of Arizona Southern Baptist churches. That year, Arizona Southern Baptists started an annual campaign to collect a special offering on Mother’s Day for ABCS. Your church can support the ministries of ABCS this Mother’s Day in four easy steps:

  1. Sign up to participate. This year, you can sign up online at www.abcs.org or over the phone at (800) 678-0648.
  2. Promote the offering. ABCS will send specific instructions and promotional materials to your church before Mother’s Day. We recommend promoting the Mother’s Day Offering in advance, giving people time to plan for their offering. You can also get church members excited about supporting ABCS by establishing a collection goal for your church or individual groups.
  3. Collect the offering. Churches have the option of collecting the offering solely on Mother’s Day or extending the collection over multiple weeks. ABCS will provide bulletin inserts and offering envelopes for your church to use as part of the Mother’s Day Offering campaign.
  4. Return the offering. The promotional packet sent to your church will include a return envelope for you to use after the offering has been collected.
