Arizona Baptist Children’s Services Announces Appointment of President

At the regular Board of Trustees meeting today, the trustees of Arizona Baptist Children’s Services unanimously approved the recommendation of its Executive Committee to appoint Steve Hanna as the President of the agency effective immediately. Steve has been serving as the Acting President since March 13, 2009. He has been employed by ABCS since 1998, when he started the regional operations in several cities outside of the greater Phoenix area.

Matt Gaston, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, comments, “We have been very impressed with Steve’s performance as the Acting President, and are pleased with how he has begun to implement ABCS’ new strategic plan, which includes expanding our programs in the greater Phoenix area to work with churches to meet the needs of families and children. Steve is well-qualified to expand the ministries and programs of ABCS.

Arizona Baptist Children’s Services is a faith-based, non-profit organization dedicated to helping children and families. It provides counseling, foster care, pregnancy tests and services, parenting classes, material assistance and Parent Aide; and has offices and services in Phoenix, Tucson, Yuma, Snowflake, Kingman, Casa Grande, Catalina, St. Johns, Holbrook and Winslow.
