Adoption

Many Arizona children lack a permanent home and loving family. At the same time, potential parents are seeking to adopt. We help facilitate the adoption process from preparation and placement to post-adoption support.

ABCS helps birth parents and adoptive families to make the right choices for the future. The proper environment is critical for the emotional and psychological well being of any child and we strive to provide more and more children with this opportunity.

Our primary focus is on healthy new-borns and children up to five years of age. We also place sibling groups and children with special needs who are wards of the state.

Services are also available in Spanish.

Family Builders

This voluntary child abuse prevention program addresses the problems that led to a report of abuse or neglect. Available only to families who have been referred by Arizona Department of Economic Security, Family Builders helps families grow based on their strengths and connect with the community services they might need.

From education and employment to substance abuse counseling and medical resources, this program helps families find the right answers they require.

Back

Foster Care

ABCS recruits, licenses and trains families to receive children for short-term foster care until a more permanent placement can be made. ABCS provides on-going supervision as well.

New Life Counseling

A therapeutic approach centered in Christ, in which counseling is founded upon the principles of Scripture.

Parent Aide

When a child has been removed from the home, the family may require special guidance. Our Parent Aide program seeks to link families to the community-based services that can help them the most.

Such services can support families to improve parenting and conflict resolution skills, alleviate dysfunctional communication patterns and promote self-sufficiency. In addition, supervised visitation is arranged, with family reunification as the ultimate goal.

Some of the areas where Parent Aide can help are:

  • The right way to discipline children.

  • How to solve problems at home.

  • Nutrition, meal planning and household management.

  • Employment consultation.

  • Housing resources.
